1. News Cuttings

Business World staff work overnight to deliver your service early in the morning.

You also have a named editor to handle your NAMED EDITOR specified content brief, ensuring that the subtleties of your needs can be fully taken into account.

Business World monitors all daily national newspapers, Irish editions of UK national papers (subject to copyright restrictions), regional newspapers, magazines, freesheets and other titles agreed.

You can advise your editor of special events to watch for or of issues you want specially tracked at a particular time.

2. Electronically Delivered Cuttings

Cuttings that are delivered by email are tagged with

  • name of publication
  • page no.
  • date of publication
  • headline
  • circulation

Cuttings delivered to a website or intranet also contain this information, as well as an image of the original, full size or thumbnail, and a text version, suitable for search and retrieval.

3. Hard Copy Cuttings

We also offer a full hard copy cuttings service, with delivery early in the morning.

Cuttings are originals taken directly from source, and not copies. This removes copyright issues that arise.

Each paper cutting is mounted on A4 paper and tagged with

  • name of publication
  • page no.
  • date of publication
  • circulation

Note that under copyright law, some sources do not allow electronic transmission. In that case, we can supply a headline and abstract of the
cutting in the electronic version, while delivering the original in hard copy form.

4. Broadcast Monitoring

We monitor all national radio and television channels as well as key regional stations.

You specify the issues, brands, names, events or other topics that you want monitored

You can vary your brief at short notice, getting us to follow a particular current issue or event.

You can have

  • daily report by email or fax
  • alerts through the day as they arise

If you want a tape or transcript of an item or programme, we can deliver it at short
notice.

5. Website Monitoring

We monitor the main news sites, and any other sites that you specially want.

You get the headlines listed on a special private web page, allowing you to click through to the original source.

There's an easy-to-use search facility allowing you to search all the stories covered at one pass - to find just the mentions you want.

You can even store your key topics, so that you can do a detailed search with a single click.

6. Advert Tracking

We check where and when your adverts appear, ensuring that the campaigns you booked are fully delivered.

We forward you originals, allowing you to verify the quality of reproduction.

We can also monitor competitors' adverts, allowing you to track their campaigns as well.

7. Analysis of your coverage

Is your media coverage helping to achieve your corporate objectives? Do you have the information to assess how well you are doing ? Or to figure out any changes you need to make ?

Our sophisticated analyses will provide you with all the information you need.

  • Analyses your coverage by individual publication and broadcast medium, showing who's covering you and who's not.
  • Breakdown of the results by media type (broadcast/print)
    and category (dailies/ Sundays/ regionals/magazines)
  • Rating of your coverage for brand mentions, executive name
    mentions, corporate mentions in headline, sponsorship mentions,
    use of photograph , key message delivery or other measures
  • Analysis of whether your coverage is positive, neutral or negative in
    tone, overall or by publication.
  • Analysis of your coverage according to to agreed measures
    in comparison with your competitors, using
  • Share of voice by volume or value, and
  • Key message delivery
