CPL Resources sees record profits

Recruitment company CPL Resources has reported record revenues and profits for the full year. The increase saw CPL, Ireland's largest recruitment company, record profits of E9.75m in its full year results.

The company says that the strong performance is driven by the shortage of suitably skilled candidates in areas such as technology. As well as sourcing and placing such staff, CPL says that recruitment companies are also benefiting from staff placement for short periods where companies are unsure about the future. John Hennessy, Chairman of CPL Resources said he was pleased with the results at the end of a challenging year. He said the company had identified opportunities presented by the changed environments in the markets in which CPL operates, had delivered growth and has a strong balance sheet with a cash balance of E28m.
