Thursday, September 13 11:29:27

Finnstown Country House Hotel in Co Dublin has been put on the market by the receiver with a guide price of E4.25m.

The Lucan hotel is one of the properties formerly owned by property tycoon, Jim Mansfield and was taken in to receivership in 2010.

On the instruction of Martin Ferris of Ferris and Associates, the Receiver and Manager of FTC Hotel (In Receivership), Tom Barrett of Savills has been appointed to sell the 82 bedroom, 3 star hotel.

"The hotel has a unique country house feel in an excellent location only 12km from Dublin City Centre. It benefits from proximity to the M/N4 and a frequent train service from Adamstown to Heuston Station," Mr Barrett said. . The hotel has recently been refurbished and has a diverse mix of bedrooms including 30 suites. There are 2 bars, a restaurant and 3 lounges which offer extensive event facilities. There are 4 meeting rooms and banqueting facilities for up to 200 persons. There is also a leisure centre, tennis court and gym.

Dalata Hotels have successfully managed the hotel since July 2010 and the hotel trade is not impacted by the sale. The property is available free from this management agreement, if required, the sellers said.

According to Tom Barrett of Savills; "Finnstown Country House Hotel offers a fantastic opportunity to acquire a superb hotel with a unique country house feel. It is an outstanding operating business with excellent bedroom, food & beverage and leisure facilities. The Hotel's trade and profitability have grown in recent years and there is great potential to build the business further. This is an exceptional opportunity for many owner operators and investors."
