Model Glenda Gilson has been named on the Revenue Commissioners' tax defaulters list for failing to declare VAT and income tax.
She is listed as having a settlement of E73,000 made up of unpaid tax of E43,390, interest of E16,539 and penalties of E13,017.
In the 3-month period to 30 June 2012, 106 taxpayers fall to be published. The settlements, or determinations, in these cases total E19.80 million.
Of the 106 published cases, 43 were for amounts exceeding E100,000; of which 11 exceeded E500,000 and 3 of that 11 exceeded E1,000,000.
Of the 106 cases, 6 settlements totalling E1.95 million relate to Revenue investigations into Offshore Funds, and 7 settlements totalling E 2.89 million relate to Revenue's Single Premium Insurance Products Investigation Cases.
The published settlements reflect a portion only of all Revenue audits and investigations concluded in the 3-month period to 30 June 2012. Settlements are only published when the extensive voluntary disclosure options are not availed of and the default is as a result of careless or deliberate behaviour.
A total of 2,536 Revenue audit and investigations together with 7,896 Risk Management Interventions (Aspect Queries & Profile Interviews) were settled in the period 1 April 2012 to 30 June 2012 resulting in yield of E114.62 million.
