New Big Red Book service creates jobs

Monday, September 24 12:18:03

Accountancy software company, Big Red Book, today launched a new cloud-based solution called Big Red Cloud that will create 12 new jobs.

This new service is hosted on Windows Azure, Microsoft's open and flexible cloud platform that enables companies to build, deploy and manage applications and services.

The new service solution enables customers to move all their accounts data to the cloud with the flexibility of adding unlimited users and free access for your accountant.

A recent trial of Big Red Cloud with current Big Red Book subscribers has proved successful, with 36pc of trial participants converting to the cloud within one month, the company said.

Marc O'Dwyer, CEO, Big Red Book said, "The Big Red Cloud application is designed to make your accounts even easier to manage and more mobile than ever. With the ability to login anywhere and on almost any device, the flexibility and accessibility that this product provides makes it more efficient and cost-effective for our customers to do business."

"Security and back-up are key concerns for SMEs and Big Red Cloud is leading the way in the Irish market. As a top priority for us, we are committed to implementing the best security practices across our services while our partnership with Microsoft ensures maximum resilience in terms of data back-up," he added.

Paul Rellis, Managing Director, Microsoft Ireland said, "The cloud presents an opportunity for start- up companies to grow internationally very quickly. Big Red Book's new service offering is a perfect example of how this can be done. To have a sustainable economy in Ireland in the future it is critical that we have a healthy indigenous business community. The cloud will be critical in helping this ambition to become a reality."
