Irish software firm launch school helper

Tuesday, October 02 15:34:10

Software Asset Management Ireland (SAMI) has launched its new Edvance school management system.

The Irish designed system is designed for use by primary schools, providing them with a complete management system, increasing efficiency and helping to reduce costs, a must for school principals in a challenging budgetary environment.

Edvance helps schools improve the quality and efficiency of school life and create an environment that will foster learning, the designers say.

The software allows the easy capture of key information such as attendance records, test results, class management records, timetables and student specific information and contact details.

It includes an innovative easy to use interface that will encourage usage among even the most technology shy teachers. Additional features added to the system include Standardised Testing reporting and also a School Website offering. SAMI, which employs 30 people, developed the new system following extensive customer consultation over a period of 6 months.

The new release has been very much driven by school feedback. Dualta Moore, CEO of SAMI explains, "Edvance has been making life easier for schools since its launch in 2009. We are lucky to have a number of innovative schools who have supported and helped shaped the product development. It was important to us that this version would be of use to teachers and to management in schools. We underwent a series of feedback exercises to understand where we could improve and add more value. This release is the realisation of this feedback process."
