European futures point markets lower

European stock index futures pointed to a slightly lower open today as new gloomy economic data and uncertainty about Spain's debt crisis dented sentiment.

At 0602 GMT, futures for the Euro STOXX 50 and France's CAC were down 0.4 percent, while contracts on Germany's DAX were down 0.2 percent. ( C) Reuters
