Aspen brings 44 new jobs to Dublin

South African based Aspen Pharma is adding 44 new jobs and setting up a new office in Dublin's Citywest.

Aspen has production capabilities for a wide variety of product types including tablets, capsules, steriles, injectables, oral contraceptives, nutritional products, lyophilised vials, cytotoxics, suppositories, vials, form-filled seals, liquids, semi-solids and specialist active pharmaceutical ingredients.

The company has had its European Marketing and Supply Chain Headquarters here since 2010. Aspen makes generic drugs and is one of the biggest producers of anti-retroviral HIV drugs in South Africa. The new jobs will bring Aspen's total workforce in Ireland to 58.
