The Rehab Group has today secured a myriad of new business opportunities across Ireland, Poland, the Netherlands and the UK, amounting to over E10million of new business and generating 102 new jobs.
"This new business will allow us to increase the number of people to whom we provide services, enhance our range of supports, further diversify the Group, increase the number of people employed by Rehab Group companies and provide exciting new opportunities for existing staff," Chief Executive Angela Kerrins said of the expansion, which constitutes a major milestone in the Group's growth strategy.
In Ireland, this will manifest in the form of expanded training and learning support services aimed at equipping people to enter or re-enter the workforce. It will also be involved in supporting university students who require learning supports, and will also provide new services to people with Aspergers Syndrome. In the UK, the company specialises in in-work support (including training and apprenticeships) for 16-18 year olds to furnish them with the skills required to thrive in their place of work. Further afield, Rehab has laid claim to logistics for IT and electronic recycling in Poland and the Netherlands respectively.
"These new projects will contribute greatly to our mission by not only benefiting people with disabilities and disadvantaged groups in the countries in which we operate, but also by supporting other Rehab Group services and initiatives through income earned from these new activities," said Kerrins.
"Today's announcement is very good news for the Rehab Group and I want to thank all colleagues for the dedication and hard work they have devoted to growing our activities and businesses. It is also important to note that there are other exciting opportunities, both in new and current markets that are at advanced stages of discussion, and we hope to have other significant good news to announce shortly."
