Global ratings agency, Standard and Poor's, has raised its corporate rating on Dublin-based aircraft leasing firm, AWAS.
The rating has been increased to BB+.
"We are very pleased that S and P has recognised the active steps we have taken to strengthen our balance sheet as well as the success of our business model," said Simon Glass, AWAS Chief Financial Officer.
AWAS owns a portfolio of more than 240 modern aircraft with 80+ aircraft on order from Airbus and Boeing including a number of next generation aircraft. The aircraft portfolio is on lease to over 90 airline customers in 47 countries.
The company is headquartered in Dublin, with offices in New York, Miami, and Singapore.
