IMC find zinc deposits in Co Clare

IMC Exploration Group today said that they have found significant deposits of zinc in Co Clare.

The company announced positive results for zinc from results from further drilling tests in Tulla, Co. Clare.

The findings from these results in Prospecting Licence Area 3729, has confirmed this area's potential to host significant zinc and other base metal mineralization, it said.

This comes weeks after the company announced positive gold results from their Wexford licence areas.

IMC increased drilling activity as a result of encouraging indications from Drillhole 11-3729-01, drilling three more holes (12-3729-02/03/04) in order to further understand and confirm this area's exploration potential.

EurGeol Dr John Kelly PGeo, MIMM, MIQ of SLR Consulting Ireland Limited, who provided the original expert reporting on Drillhole 11-3729-01, was commissioned to review drillcore from the further three drill holes in the Tulla area.

Commenting on the report and its findings, Dr Glenn Millar, Managing Director of IMC said: "This report, with its positive findings, further confirms the directors' conviction that the Tulla Prospecting Licence has significant potential for zinc and other base metal mineralization.
