Paul Connolly joins APN's board

Paul Connolly, a previous associate of Denis O'Brien and chairman of Dublin's Connolly Capital, has joined the board of APN News and Media, in which the Independent group has a 29.5pc stake, as a non-executive director.

He already serves on the Board of Independent News and Media, Communicorp Group and Melita cable.

Connolly Capital Limited is an Irish corporate finance advisory firm focused on the telecom, media and technology sectors.

Mr Connolly is also a Senior Adviser to Credit Suisse.

He was previously a Director of Esat Telecom plc, an Irish telecommunications company, and a Director of Digicel Limited, a telecommunications company with operations across 30 markets in the Caribbean, Central America and the Pacific in which the major shareholder is Denis O'Brien.
