AIB's Alan Doherty is Siteserv's new CFO

Dublin-based infrastructure and utilities support services group Siteserv has appointed Alan Doherty, currently Managing Director of AIB Corporate Finance, as Chief Financial Officer.

Mr Doherty will take up his new position in January. He will also join Siteserv's Board of Directors, and his appointment follows last week's announcement that former Cape PLC CEO Martin May had joined Siteserv as a non-executive director.

"I am delighted that Alan is to take up the position of CFO of Siteserv. Alan has extensive financial experience across a wide range of sectors in Ireland and internationally. His appointment will support our plans for further international expansion, particularly in the UK," said Brian Harvey, CEO of Siteserv.

Alan Doherty said: "Siteserv is an ambitious and fast growing company with an entrepreneurial team that I am excited to be working with. I have been impressed by the way the company has successfully diversified its customer base and revenue streams, and hope to play an important role in driving future growth initiatives."

Mr Doherty has been Managing Director of AIB Corporate Finance since 2005. He has advised on over E20bn of transactions over the past five years, and his team won the Financial Times and Mergermarket. Irish Financial Adviser of the Year award in 2011.

Siteserv is head-quartered in Ireland but now earns more than half its revenue in the UK. The parent company has six subsidiaries including: Sierra, DSL, Holgate, RoanKabin, EventServ and Siteserv access and formwork.
