Contributors to the 2012 F.ounders event include the Director of Men in Black (Barry Sonnenfeld), former US Treasury Secretary and Obama advisor (Larry Summers), former NATO General of Operations in Europe in 1990's (Wesley Clarke), YouTube co-founder (Jawed Karim), Google Ventures (Kevin Rose), Moshi Monsters (Michael Acton Smith), Flipboard (Mike McCue), Yandex (Arkady Volozh), Mozilla (Mitchell Baker), and Salesforce (J.P. Rangaswami).
Over two days (October 19th and 20th) the founders will discuss a wide variety of issues including innovation, philanthropy, entrepreneurship, economic growth and investment. It is the third annual F.ounders gathering with last year's event described as a phenomenal success as 'Davos for Geeks' by the Wall Street Journal and the ''Rolls Royce of technology events' by The Next Web.
F.ounders organiser and CEO Paddy Cosgrave said "F.ounders sends a strong message to an international community that Ireland is a hub for the tech-industry and a great place for people to do business. The calibre of entrepreneurs that are coming to F.ounders proves that international startup experts are excited about coming to Dublin to do business, to meet with local entrepreneurs and to contribute to the economy generally".
Barry O'Leary, Chief Executive at The IDA said "The potential that F.ounders delivers to the Irish economy is immense. F.ounders is a fantastic opportunity for Ireland Inc to showcase our potential to companies that may be planning to expand their international footprint".
