Discount retailer Dealz is to open ten new outlets in Ireland, creating up to 300 new jobs.
The new stores will allow for an investment of almost E3 million into the Irish economy.
Since launching in Ireland in September 2011, Dealz has opened twenty stores and invested over E6 million into the Irish economy, creating almost 600 Irish jobs. Dealz is also set to open additional stores by the end of this financial year (March 2013), including Dun Laoghaire and Clonmel.
Commenting about Dealz anniversary and the expansion of Dealz in Ireland, CEO Jim McCarthy said: "We are thrilled to be celebrating our first year of trading in Ireland and to announce our exciting store expansion plans. Given that employment figures are so low in Ireland we are delighted that we can offer even more people a job as each new store creates job opportunities across Ireland. Dealz is committed to bringing amazing value to our customers every day with our E1.49 price point and are looking forward to bringing our extensive range of great products and top brands to even more savvy Irish consumers."
