Boots create 27 Cork, Galway jobs

Boots Ireland has created 27 new full and part time positions as it opens two new stores in Galway Shopping Centre and Mallow, Co. Cork.

The pharmacy and beauty chain has created over 110 jobs in 2012 through new store openings and store expansions.

The new Mallow store employs 10 people. The Galway Shopping Centre has created 17 new full time and part time jobs.

Declan Dooley, President, Galway Chamber of Commerce said: "It is very positive that Galway, and Ireland can continue to attract international retail brands. Galway continues to be a vibrant, leading edge location for business and seeing this city at the forefront of job creation news today is testament to this. We are glad to have more employment, and more retail choice, in our city, and we hope Boots and many other retailers will be expanding in Galway over the years ahead."
