TV3 trial pay for content on Player

TV3 Group today announced that 3player will trial Paid-For Content by giving viewers an opportunity to view the second episode of hit show Tallafornia on 3player, for a fee, ahead of its broadcast date next month.

An exclusive look at the first episode of Tallafornia 2 airs this Sunday 9th December at 11:00pm on TV3. Immediately after the preview, the second episode will become available to view for a limited time only on 3player, for a fee of E1.49.

Using payment partner 'Pay Wizard', viewers can set-up an account which will allow them to rent premium, pre-broadcast shows on 3player to watch on their PCs, laptops and tablets.

Commenting on the trial Stephen Grant, Director of Online at TV3 commented: "Tallafornia was the most talked about show of 2012 and as the second series comes to TV3 we are delighted to be able to offer fans of the show the chance to see the second episode on 3player before it is broadcast. Services such as 3player allow us to experiment with how we make our content available and, in this first for Irish broadcasters, we are creating opportunities for viewers to be ahead of the game and see premium content before broadcast."
