Smurfit Kappa reports pre-tax up 11pc

Packaging group Smurfit Kappa has reported pre-tax profits of E331m for 2012, up 11pc on the previous year as revenues were flat. Smurfit Kappa said it earnings for 2012 rose by 13.9pc, the second highest level since its IPO The company has declared a final dividend of 20.5 cent for the year, up 37pc from the 15 cent in 2011.
