Thursday, February 07 12:42:23

ESB International, the global engineering consultancy owned by ESB, plans to recruit 80 new engineering and technical professionals over the next five years amid growing demand for engineering services from the international energy sector.

Speaking at the announcement today, Ollie Brogan, Managing Director ESB International said; "There is massive investment in energy infrastructure across all of our key markets and we have recently secured new contracts in the Middle East, Turkey and South Africa. We are on track to double turnover from our international operations over the next five years and will need skilled people from all of the main engineering disciplines to support that growth". Chief Executive of ESB, Pat O'Doherty highlighted the unique contribution of ESB International in terms of supporting Ireland's broader economic goals.

"Through our international consulting business, we are not only showcasing Irish engineering talent overseas but are also drawing on international best practice to enhance our domestic expertise and developing critical skills to support Ireland's future growth and development."

ESB International is currently expanding its business development team worldwide and recently opened a new office in Turkey. The company plans to open a number of other offices in key markets during 2013.
