Global vocation training group, Prometric, is to hire 14 new staff at its Dundalk, Co Louth operation as part of an international expansion.
It is opening a E8.85 million, state-of-the-art global operations centre in Maryland, United States, just 24 kilometers from its corporate headquarters in Baltimore City.
The company has a test development hub in Dundalk, part of an infrastructure that spans from Ireland to India to the U.S., operating on a global 20-hour workday.
As part of its Operations restructuring, Prometric is placing 14 new jobs in its Dundalk base, which opened last June, and has a three-year jobs plan to hire more than 100 employees in Ireland.
"Prometric has experienced seven consecutive years of positive revenue and profit growth, and transforming our Global Operations is part of our long-term growth strategy," said Michael Brannick, Prometric's President and CEO. "This change will significantly strengthen our performance and the support services we provide across computer-based, paper-based and Internet-based testing."
The 14 new jobs for Prometric's Dundalk site support the company's global business and will bring the company's total in Dundalk to 71 employees.
