Call centres have 500 jobs at CCMA fair

Monday, February 25 10:34:15

The Contact Centre Management Association (CCMA) will host a free Contact Centre and Outsourcing Jobs Fair tomorrow with over 25 leading international companies participating and over 500 vacancies on offer to jobseekers.

The Fair takes place in the Dublin's Burlington Hotel from 10am until 7pm and is aimed at jobseekers and those considering a change in career. Visitors to the Jobs Fair will see multinationals such as Accenture, Amazon, Arise, CarTrawler, EA Games and PayPal, amongst many others, recruiting on the day.

Dorothy O'Byrne, Managing Director of the CCMA explained: "The contact centre sector in Ireland is undergoing significant growth and transformation. An increasing number of international companies are establishing their global operations in Ireland and contact sector jobs are at the forefront of this surge. Companies such as eBay, Facebook, Eistec, Electronic Arts and PayPal have all recently announced that they are looking to recruit in this sector. The growth in the use of social media has transformed our industry and an increasing number of companies are using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to reach out to their customers."

"The companies who are recruiting at this Jobs Fair are looking for people who have a wide variety of skills with an increasing emphasis on social media skills and an ability to communicate effectively. This Fair is a demonstration of the opportunities for employment and career advancement that are available in this vibrant sector and we want to encourage jobseekers from other sectors to consider this industry for employment."
