Kieran Wallace and David Swinburne of KPMG were today appointed Joint Receivers to Henry Good Limited, the well-known family-run feed mill business based in Kinsale Co. Cork employing 50 staff.
In a statement, the Receivers acknowledged that it is a very difficult day for the Directors as the company has been owned by the Good family since 1927.
For many months, the Directors of Henry Good attempted to restructure the business, following difficulties with a significant debtor in the summer of 2012.
The company which employs 50 people directly will continue to trade on a "business as usual" basis.
The Joint Receivers have now moved to sell the business and assets of Henry Good Limited as a going concern.
"The Directors would like to express their sincere thanks to all their loyal suppliers, customers and employees, who have supported the business for over 90 years. The Directors and Receivers are confident that a buyer will be found for the business," the statement said.
