Aer Lingus passengers down in Feb.

Aer Lingus said that its total flown passenger numbers, including its regional operations, decreased by 1.5pc to 648,000 in February compared to the same time last year. The airline noted that there was one day less in February of this year compared to February last year.

Its mainline short haul flown passengers numbers last month fell by 3.9pc to 532,000 while short haul capacity decreased by 9.7pc. Long haul passenger numbers saw a drop of 4.4pc to 43,000 with capacity in the sector down 3.5pc according to RTE News.
