Industry capital acquisitions dip in Q4

Capital acquisitions in industry in the fourth quarter of 2012 were E1,124.7m, compared with E1,348.4m in the fourth quarter of 2011, latest CSO figures show.

Among the main contributors to capital acquisitions were computer, electronic and optical products with E240.9m basic pharmaceutical products and preparations with E137.9m. Capital sales in the fourth quarter of 2012 were E65.9m, compared with E75.0m in the fourth quarter of 2011.

The main contributors to capital sales were basic pharmaceutical products and preparations with E27.5m and food Products with E13.9m.
