Court allows lawsuits against IBRC

Lawsuits pending against the IBRC - formerly Anglo Irish - may proceed, the High Court ruled today.

High Court judge Sean Ryan delivered the judgement today.

His decision means that the family of Sean Quinn can pursue legal action against the former Anglo Irish Bank.

The Quinn family are seeking to deny liability for E2.34 billion in loans given to Quinn family companies from Anglo Irish Bank.
