At its annual general meeting, ACCA Ireland (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) has elected Mr Diarmuid O'Donovan as its President for the next 12 months.
He succeeds from outgoing President of ACCA Ireland, Tom Murray.
Commenting, Diarmuid O'Donovan said: "I look forward to a productive year at the helm of ACCA Ireland - representing the association at what is a very important time for the profession and the role we as members play in business and economic renewal."
A native of Sligo, he is a fellow of ACCA and has served on the International Assembly of ACCA between 2002 and 2008. He has a broad range of professional experience having worked in senior business roles in Ireland and the United Kingdom for more than 20 years. He is currently the principal of CPDwise, an on-line provider of learning and training courses, which he established in 2006.
Also elected at the association's AGM was Anne Keogh, aqueduct ltd (Dublin) as Deputy President.
