SIPTU members in cash-in-transit company G4S have voted in favour of restructuring proposals aimed at securing the long term future of the company.
In a ballot counted yesterday evening workers voted by 79pc to 21pc to accept the proposals.
SIPTU Organiser, Brendan Carr, said: "The company's restructuring proposals envisage approximately 30 voluntary job losses and changes to workers' terms and conditions of employment."
SIPTU represents the 615 workers employed by G4S Cash Solutions Ireland Ltd.
It was recently reported that the firm's parent company would withdraw financial support for the loss-making business here unless the revised contract terms were agreed to.
