The High Court in Dublin has appointed an examiner to the Waterford-based manufacturer of Azzurri sportswear.
Apparel Supply Solutions also provides industrial and specialist fire resistant clothing. Its clients include Dublin Fire Service, Dublin Airport Authority and the ESB.
Today's application for the appointment of a full examiner follows the appointment of an interim examiner last month.
An independent accountant's report indicated it had a reasonable prospect for survival.
Expressions of interest had been received from 20 potential investors, the court was told.
The company employs 35 people, two of whom have been made redundant.
Terms and conditions for the remaining employees have also changed.
The company started as a home sewing enterprise in 1985.
In 2002 it began providing sportswear to the GAA but this had not resulted in the returns expected and that part of the business would now be scaled back.
