Aer Lingus today announced the introduction of flights from Shannon to and from Lanzarote for the coming winter season.
The new weekly service commences on October 26th and will operate through to March 29th.
This latest addition comes just weeks after the announcement of significant expansion to the transatlantic schedule from Shannon Airport, with flights to New York and Boston almost doubling in frequency and the transatlantic service returning to an all year round schedule.
Declan Kearney, Director of Communications at Aer Lingus welcomed the news, "This further addition to our winter schedule from Shannon should prove very popular. Lanzarote is a fantastic destination for winter sun-seekers. We look forward to welcoming customers on board the new service."
Welcoming the announcement, Shannon Airport Chief Executive Neil Pakey said that having winter season services to Lanzarote is a major boost for passengers. "We are delighted with Aer Lingus' commitment at Shannon, especially coming on top of the recent announcement of increased frequency from January, to Boston and New York.
