Irish-owned Carraig Donn announced today that it will create 100 new jobs in 2014 and 2015 through the continued nationwide expansion of its retail chain operation and knitwear manufacturing plant at Westport.
The company, a leading Irish retailer of fashion, giftware and jewellery, marked the occasion today in the presence of An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, who formally unveiled a new 6,000 sq. ft Carraig Donn flagship store at Jervis Shopping Centre, Dublin 1.
The new store will showcase the best of Irish and international designer fashion, lifestyle giftware, accessories and jewellery.
Commenting, Pat Hughes, Managing Director of Carraig Donn, said: "At a juncture where many leading Irish retailers face significant challenges, it is gratifying to see trading at Carraig Donn go from strength to strength. In 2011, the Group announced the creation of 150 new jobs which has now been completed with the addition of another prestigious address - the Jervis Shopping Centre - to our network of 32 nationwide shops in Ireland."
