Mobile network, Three, today said it will roll out its super-high-speed 4G services from next Monday for both pre-pay and bill pay customers.
Its customers will receive 4G access free of charge until July 31st.
From August 1st, Bill Pay customers can continue to receive 4G access by simply purchasing an add-on to their bill for E4.99 per month and Prepay customers will receive a special offer, which will be revealed in the coming months.
Elaine Carey, Chief Commercial Officer of Three, said, "As data consumption soars with today's 'always on' mobile users, the introduction of 4G meets people's need for speed allowing Three customers do even more on their smartphones."
At launch Three will offer significant coverage with over 60pc coverage in the cities of Galway, Limerick and Waterford and 40pc in Dublin and Cork. Total population coverage will grow quickly over the coming months, it said. Robbie Keane, Captain of the Irish International Football Team, was on hand to launch 4G for Three and said; "It's great to be an ambassador for Three and to witness the network going from strength to strength since Three became official sponsor of the international team. For me, 4G means quicker access to my family when I Skype home and faster download of movies on the go!"
