Bank of Ireland today announced the appointment of Dr Loretta O'Sullivan as Group Chief Economist.
She will join the Group effective from the beginning of March, 2014.
She joins the Group from the Central Bank of Ireland, where she held the position of Senior Economist within the Monetary Policy and International Relations Division.
Prior to that, she was a Senior Economist at the Department of Finance, during which time, she was seconded for two years to the European Commission's Economic and Financial Affairs Directorate in Brussels. She holds a Ph.D in Economics from Trinity College, Dublin.
As Group Chief Economist, Ms O'Sullivan will head up the Group's Economic Research Unit and will be responsible for the preparation of economic data, including economic publications for our customers and various Group stakeholders.
