US multinational software group, VCE, is to expand its operations in Cork, promising to create 150 jobs in research and development there over the next two years.
Recruitment has already begun at VCE, a software company that established its international headquarters at Ballincollig four years ago.
The jobs, which are supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation and IDA Ireland, are for software engineers and developers and other R&D positions, which will be based at City Gate in Mahon.
VCE said it hopes to employ more than 250 people in Cork by 2015.
Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton said: "Cloud computing is a sector which we have targeted as part of our Action Plan for Jobs, and in recent years we have seen significant progress in this area."
