Al Mana buys Cork's Stream for E1m

Wednesday, March 05 14:37:19

Al Mana Lifestyle, parent company of Apple's newest Premium Reseller to Ireland, iConnect, has bought Cork-based Apple Sales and Services provider, Stream Solutions Limited.

The deal is worth in the region of E1 Million euro and includes investment for growth over the next twelve months.

Al Mana Group entered the Irish market in November of last year, announcing an E8m investment here.

"The move will build upon Al Mana's firm commitment to invest in technical expertise within Ireland's Technology sector and further complement the customer-focused business model that it has been developing via expansion of its iConnect retail network," a statement from Al Mana said.

Stream Solutions is the leading provider of Apple sales and services in the Cork region and offers consultancy to a large SME customer-base that has chosen to improve the efficacy of its I.T. infrastructure via the integration of Apple Products and Solutions.

Speaking of the acquisition, John McEvoy, General Manger of Al Mana Lifestyle said: "We are delighted to announce this investment by Al Mana Lifestyle and look forward to working closely with Stream Solutions as it builds upon its already-impressive customer support infrastructure."

"Al Mana Lifestyle fully supports and values the pioneering work that Stream has undertaken over the past decade, particularly its commitment to assisting the integration of iPads and digital learning within the classroom, and we look forward to supporting future roll-outs of this and other important initiatives in the years to come."

Founder of Stream Solutions, Gerard Allen has been appointed General Manager of the newly-merged entity. A former Apple employee with over 20 years experience in new product design, training, configuration, and consultancy, he established Stream Solutions in 2004 in response to the market's demands for support and training in the integration of Apple Products and Solutions.

"As the Apple Experts in Munster, Stream Solutions has led the way for authorised Apple sales, support and training in Cork for the past decade. As a small business owner, if you think Apple, you think Stream and with this acquisition, we aim to be at the heart of small and medium-sized enterprises throughout Ireland," Mr McEvoy added.

The Apple Authorised Training Centre within Stream Solutions will enable iConnect to offer in-house training in all aspects of Apple technology. With the recent investment, Stream's presence as the leading Apple support and consultancy brand within the SME sector will develop rapidly both in Ireland and abroad.
