Speaking on his appointment President of the American Chamber Ms. Louise Phelan said "I am delighted Mark Redmond has joined the American Chamber of Commerce as Chief Executive. In recent years the American Chamber has grown into one of the most significant business organisations in the country, representing a vital segment of the Irish economy. On behalf of our Board of Directors and all of our members I wish Mark the sincerest best wishes in his new role."
Mr Redmond said "I am very excited to be commencing this role and working with our President, Louise Phelan, on behalf of all of our members. US investment in Ireland has never been stronger. That is in spite of the economic challenges the country has faced in recent years and is a significant testament to both the country's attractiveness as an investment location and to the long term commitment shown to Ireland by investors.
