Ireland's first Bitcoin ATM was unveiled in Dublin today giving enthusiasts the ability to convert real money in to the virtual currency.
The ATM is located in GSM Solutions on Upper Abbey Street. The company, which offers electronic repair services, will also accept the payment for products sold in their store.
The company behind the new ATM is Bitvendo, an Irish startup that says it hopes to expand the ATMs throughout Ireland.
But the Central Bank has warned that users of Bitcoin vending machines in Ireland will not enjoy the same protections as those buying recognised currencies from regulated financial institutions.
