Senior financial professional, Anne Keogh was elected President of ACCA Ireland (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) at the accountancy body's Annual General Meeting today.
In her address, she emphasised the role of accountants and entrepreneurship, and the supporting but critical role they play in small start-up businesses, key to economic renewal in Ireland. She also emphasised the role of mentoring in business development, particularly within small business, and outlined her intention to enhance ACCA Ireland's mentoring policy and strategy for its 20,000 strong members during her tenure as President.
Currently, CFO of The Well Water Company, she has held financial positions in the Adare Printing Group Limited and was part of the three person NeedaHotel.com team established by Sarah Newman and Andrew Collins. She previously held roles in Smurfit Kappa Group plc and was a non-executive director of Prime Active Capital plc.
