Air Canada rouge inaugurated its year-round non-stop service from Dublin to Toronto today with a celebration at Dublin Airport.
Air Canada rouge is its new leisure carrier and will operate four weekly flights from the Irish capital to its Toronto hub, Toronto Pearson International Airport. This service will increase to daily during the summer peak from 23 June 2014.
"We are excited to launch this Air Canada rouge year-round service, offering our customers in Ireland competitive fares, a relaxed in-flight environment and outstanding customer service," said Robert Atkinson, Air Canada's General Manager U.K., Ireland and Northern Europe. "As well as benefiting from direct access to our Toronto hub, customers can take advantage of convenient connections to destinations across North, Central and South America, and the Caribbean."
Robert Atkinson participated in the celebrations at Dublin Airport and was joined by Canadian Ambassador to Ireland, The Honourable Loyola Hearn, and Vincent Harrison, Managing Director Dublin Airport, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the departure gate to inaugurate the new service.
The Canadian Ambassador to Ireland, The Honourable Loyola Hearn commented on the new service: "We are very pleased to see the new service established. We also want to express gratitude to the Direct Flight Committee which worked to make this a reality. Year-round direct service will greatly benefit business, tourism and the travelling public generally, and strengthen the links between the two countries."
