Some 10pc of Irish workers admit to wasting up to a week per year on Facebook and as much as two weeks a year on personal emails, according to a survey from Ladbrokes Ireland.
Nearly a third of those surveyed (32pc) could be wasting up to three days a year on making drinks while 5pc could be wasting three days per year playing online games, it found.
Slacking off (59pc), Hygiene (49pc) and Punctuality (48pc) were the biggest taboos in the workplace.
The survey also found that more men are unhappy in their line of work with 22.05pc reporting that they are unhappy compared to 15.04pc of their female counterparts.
Some 13pc of people were allowed to watch the World Cup during work hours and 7pc weren't allowed to but watched it anyway.
