Hunt on for smartest Irish HR person

Friday, July 18 15:48:26

A competition to find the smartest HR professional and HR team in Ireland is now underway with the prospect of winning a trip to Dubai for the lucky winners.

Online assessment group, cut-e, is turning its own talent in online testing to identify the smartest HR Professionals in Ireland.

David Barrett, MD of cut-e Ireland said HR professionals are the lynch pin of organisations to deliver great people to the business, "and we now want to identify, at an individual and team level, those HR practitioners who display the key competencies needed to make this happen."

"As such, we're inviting both individual HR practitioners and HR teams to take part in our search for great HR talent. We've created a specific battery of shorter than usual assessments that look at verbal and logical reasoning as well as multi-tasking - what we see to be core competencies that HR needs to bring to the table. The result is a range of tests which can be completed in less than 20 minutes and assess, in fun way, these skills."

Dr Achim Preuss, founder and MD of the cut-e Group adds: "We're able to do in this in such a short time as our tests are constructed by an item generator at the point in time when a person chooses to sit the test. This means that any skewing of the results or cheating is prevented through retaking of the test. This technology and approach to test design also enables us to offer shorter, but still reliable, tests which is important to time-pressured people."

The online assessment is open to all HR professionals working in Ireland until 15 August 2014. All entrants are required to complete three tests: verbal reasoning, logical reasoning and multi-tasking.
