TransferMate Global Payments, a Kilkenny-based commercial foreign exchange provider, today said it has now transferred over USD5 billion in foreign currency money transfers for clients worldwide.
Sinead Fitzmaurice, CFO and co-founder of TransferMate said that the sky's the limit for the company in terms of potential growth.
"We are only scratching the surface today in terms of the number of companies worldwide using TransferMate. Having built market leading operational infrastructure, approved by more than 80 Regulatory authorities across the globe, with technology that offers real-time connectivity to accounting systems, we operate a world-class service that banks and other foreign exchange providers simply cannot match," she said. Transfermate is a real life Irish success story, developed and funded in Ireland, by a team of Irish entrepreneurs. It grew from a small Irish Bureau de Change to a company that now challenges banks in North America, Europe and Austral Asia. In the midst of Ireland's greatest financial crises, Transfermate has doubled its turnover and has grown from strength to strength, trebling its workforce in the last 3 years.
"For companies that make or receive foreign currency payments, banks are not equipped to provide a global service to satisfy the needs of today's corporates who buy and sell globally - resulting in companies flocking to TransferMate to use our payment solutions," added Ms Fitzmaurice.
