Frockadvisor, the brainchild of stylists and TV presenters Sonya Lennon and Brendan Courtney, has been named one of the top 45 digital innovations in retail in the UK and Ireland.
In the first report of its kind to throw the spotlight on some of the most interesting and impactful digitally-driven retail innovations, Retailinsider.com listed the frockadvisor app alongside developments from such global brands as Google, Starbucks, Paypal and IKEA.
The frockadvisor app is a customer service and engagement platform that links retailers with their loyal customers. Retailers can join only by invitation or approval, thereby creating a circle of excellence where rich and engaging content is created for the end-customer.
Within frockadvisor is 'fotocon', which enables fashion fans to post a picture of a product they like onto the platform, hit 'want', and a notification is then sent to the retailers and brands in their preference list. The retailer can then photograph something similar that they have in stock, on their mobile device, and push it back directly into the hands of the potential customer. The frockadvisor payment gateway then provides a full service solution for purchases to be made on the platform.
The new Retailinsider.com report was compiled following consultation with a broad selection of individuals across the retail industry - encompassing analysts, senior retailers, researchers, and IT specialists. A long list of digitally-driven innovations was initially drawn up and from that a special advisory panel reduced it down to the top 45 innovations in the UK and Ireland.
