Production at Ireland's Manufacturing Industries for June 2014 was 18.2pc lower than the previous month but was up 3.5pc on an annual basis, latest CSO figures show.
The seasonally adjusted volume of industrial production for Manufacturing Industries for the three months April 2014 to June 2014 was 12.8pc higher than in the preceding three month period.
The “Modern” Sector, comprising a number of high-technology and chemical sectors, showed a monthly decrease in production for June 2014 of 27.4pc. There was a monthly decrease of 1.1pc in the “Traditional” Sector.
There was a decrease of 9.1pc in the seasonally adjusted industrial turnover index for Manufacturing Industries in June 2014 when compared with May 2014.
On an annual basis turnover increased by 3.3pc when compared with June 2013.
