Friday, August 08 14:06:57

Daybreak Information Technologies, a leading provider of global information technology services to the biotech sector based in Dublin, has announced an important alliance with a US-based peer.

Daybreak, which is headed up by the former CIO of Elan, Kevin Barrett, last month said it was creating 50 new jobs in Ireland.

The company said that it has signed an alliance agreement to partner with San Diego-based Bell Canyon Consulting LLC, a leading provider of Data Management products and software services provider to global life sciences companies.

The partnership between the two companies creates the first comprehensive IT solutions provider dedicated to the biotech and pharma markets.

Together, Daybreak Information Technology and Bell Canyon Consulting, will offer a broad and deep set of services ranging from Daybreak's managed-IT solutions to Bell Canyon's commercial master data management and commercial operations products and services.

As part of the alliance, the two companies have committed to draw on their respective skill-bases to jointly invest in the development of Cloud based software platforms to support the the biotechnology and life sciences markets.

The management teams of both companies have previously worked closely together at Elan Pharmaceuticals where the combined teams built and managed highly sophisticated systems spanning the entire lifecycle of research, development and commercial business functions.

Daybreak CEO, Kevin Barrett said, "This partnership expands Daybreak's capabilities in the commercial segment of the biotech value-chain. Bell Canyon has proven expertise in the commercial data management market and we will leverage its assets to establish a strong capability in the rapidly growing information management market in biotech and life sciences".
