US security technology company, Proofpoint, is to create almost 100 jobs in Belfast.
Data protection firm, Proofpoint, is to invest more than E6 million in its new European headquarters, based in Belfast.
The move follows the company's purchase of local business Maildistiller Ltd last year.
Stormont business development agency Invest NI has provided more than E600,000 in support of the venture.
The 94 new jobs are expected to be in place by the end of 2016.
Proofpoint Chief Executive Gary Steele said the company was "very impressed" with the technology ecosystem in Northern Ireland”, likening it to Silicon Valley.
He also commended the "world-class" security research at Queen's University.
He added that the company was grateful for the advice and support it had received from Invest NI and the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment.
The news has been welcomed by Economy Minister Arlene Foster.
"Proofpoint recognised the benefits of establishing a European centre here, including the availability of high quality technical and sales staff, as well as the high-speed telecoms links between Northern Ireland, North America and Europe," she said.
