Recruiting group, Hays, today reported an impressive 27pc like-for-like growth in net fees in its Irish operations, reflecting strong growth in the jobs market.
It said that its net fees growth across UK and Ireland combined was 11pc.
Hays Ireland employs over 100 people in its Irish offices at Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway, with Hays UK and Ireland's consultant headcount growing by 12pc year-on-year.
The Irish performance was reported as part of the wider results, released today by Hays plc. Hays Ireland is part of the FTSE 250 listed specialist recruitment group Hays, which has a global reach across 33 countries worldwide.
Overall, Hays' net fees for the year ended 30 June 2014 grew by 5pc on a like-for-like basis across its geographic areas of operation.
Commenting on Hays Ireland's performance, Richard Eardley, Managing Director of Hays Ireland, said: "Our results today support the sentiment from the CSO figures which were released yesterday. Permanent employment is on the increase across a number of sectors such as IT and Finance. We are also finding an increase in candidates coming back from overseas, the highest in six years. However, the big story continues to be construction. We have seen a lot more permanent activity in commercial projects, both new build and fit out and in civil engineering and infrastructure. It all bodes well for the coming year."
