ShoreTel and Phone Pulse today announce a three-year deal worth €185,000 with Top Oil, the Irish supplier of home heating oil, commercial and agricultural fuel. Through the implementation of ShoreTel’s leading unified communications solution across 30 sites in Ireland by Irish IP telephony specialist Phone Pulse, the fuel supplier will save upwards of €40,000 per year.

ShoreTel was one of a number of solutions considered by Top Oil and was chosen based on feedback from the company’s IT and business users. Savings have been made largely through the removal of 18 separate phone systems that were previously in place. Each incurred separate land-line charges and offered no call visibility.

The leading fuel supplier is also benefiting from the addition of callback, call recording, instant messaging, conference call and email capabilities, which now all run under the ShoreTel platform.

Barry Dillon, Regional Sales Director, Ireland, Middle East and Nordic regions, ShoreTel said, "Our ethos is around delivering true business value to our customers, and Top Oil is a clear example of this. Aside from the substantial cost savings, the provider has moved to the next level in terms of technology. This has made it simpler for staff and customers."
