The Shelbourne witnessed the cream of the Irish Pension sector at the Irish Pension Awards 2016 last night.

The 2016 judges were drawn from across Ireland’s pension sector including pension providers, industry bodies, consultants, financial services and pension representatives from various Irish pension and financial associations.

Notable winners included Irish Life, with their Corporate Business winning the Communication Award, and Irish Life Investment Managers won Passive Manager of the Year.

Setanta Asset Management, part of the Irish Life Group, picked up the award for Equities Manager of the Year for the fifth year in a row.

Legal & General Investment Management won Investment Manager of the Year and Aviva Life & Pensions won the Innovation award.

Patrick Burke, Managing Director, Irish Life Investment Managers, commented on the Passive Manager win; “This award is a great recognition for our team at Irish Life Investment Managers. The win reflects our continued success of delivering tailored solutions for retail investors and DC pension schemes, through close collaborations with other business sectors across the Irish Life Group."
