BDO Ireland has today announced a significant expansion and the addition of a new team of tax specialists led by Carol Lynch.

The new team will help clients understand the complexities related to international and EU customs and trade.

The BDO Customs and International Trade team will advise growth focused companies in Ireland on a range of issues relating to international and European customs and trade.  This includes advice on applicable import taxes, customs duties, anti-dumping duties, agricultural levies, support on excise duties and the movement of goods subject to excise, advice on exports, support with export compliance and support with audits and investigations.

Managing Partner of BDO, Michael Costello said, "Brexit implications will remain unclear for some time to come but ambitious and forward thinking companies are beginning to focus on both the business opportunity and the tax implications it will have."

He added, "Providing clients with unrivalled Partner led insight is one of the things that differentiates BDO and our new team continues that ethos and helps clients understand the tax complexities of their international trade opportunities."
