Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking announces senior appointment

It was announced this week that Charlene Rooney has been appointed Senior Manager on Bank of Ireland’s Corporate Banking New Business Origination team. In her new role, Charlene will be responsible for business development and the origination of new business for Corporate Banking in Dublin.

Charlene began her career with Bank of Ireland in 2004 via the Group Graduate Programme. She spent six years working in Private Banking where she held various roles including Private Banking Lending Manager.

Charlene joined Corporate Banking in 2011 and since then she has managed client portfolios across a broad range of sectors, including most recently as Head of Hotels Portfolio. She holds QFA and Bachelor of Science in Finance from Queens University Belfast.

Welcoming her to the team, Senior Director at Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking, Nikki Canavan said, "I would like to congratulate Charlene on her promotion to Senior Manager on the New Business Origination team. Charlene’s strong customer focus and breadth of experience developed over the last 14 years will be a huge help to her in her new role."
